My first-grade students were asking questions about different career paths. "What do you have to do to become a doctor?" one of my students asked. "You have to do well in school, study hard, be good at math and science, make good grades in college, then go to med school and follow that with an internship. Then you can open your own practice…" The little girl gave some thought to my response, then asked, "What do you have to do to be queen?"
